VTV Venture, NASA's Manned Venus Ship

NASA planned to fly a manned mission to Venus using Apollo hardware. Phase C would have been the big flight, had the mission flown. Here, Venus Transfer Vehicle Venture (Adonis III) prepares to light up its engine and launch off to Venus. The Apollo model is my own variant ---she'll play a more central role in a future project.
