USS Triangulum

USS Triangulum (NCC-82115), a Galathea-class science vessel (my own design). The Galathea-class is a demilitarized Defiant variant. When the Dominion War ended there were Defiants in various states of completion. Some were retrofitted to this specification. Keeping the original class's legendary toughness, the Galathea class was sent on missions far off the beaten path, where unknown entities of civilizations might be less than thrilled with the Federation snooping around. Additionally, pockets of Dominion resistance might crop up in distant planetary systems, especially while surveying the Gamma quadrant. In that case, a little bit of extra firepower would keep the crew safe.
