Martin Marietta OBS-4

The Martin Marietta OBS-4, an alternate history 80s spacecraft based on the Y-wing. The USAF's OBS-4 is the world's first nuclear weapon platform in space, carrying sixteen warheads plus four Brilliant Pebble interceptors on its center module. On the left (of the picture) is the power module and on the right the crew module.

When Ronald Reagan started the Strategic Defense Initiative it was nicknamed the Star Wars program. I've been working on a project to reimagine the ships of Star Wars as real 80s spacecraft, as if the nickname was actually descriptive.
