Ocelus Transfer Laboratory

Ocelus Transfer Laboratory, a design for the late-2100s. With a crew of 40, it is designed to develop interplanetary technologies while making the run to Mars and back. This is part of my project to create spacecraft based on the planetary astrology signs, in this case: Mars.

Some details: The front ring has a spinning habit area inside of it. The paneling on the outside is for radiation protection, but that does mean that the windows are on the ceiling. Fortunately, the greenhouse section provides panoramic views. The greenhouse is surrounded by four mirror petals, which deploy to provide sunlight for the planets. In essence, this is a subscale prototype of technologies you'd need for an O'Neill Cylinder.
