Juliett Sierra 3, an unused concept for 2001: A Space Odyssey

Early drafts of 2001: A Space Odyssey had the TMA-1’s signal to Jupiter getting picked up by deep space probes. Roy Carnon created concept art for the probes, but they were never modeled or filmed. I’ve brought this one to life, calling it Juliett Sierra 3.

I plan to model and render more unused concepts from 2001 in a project I’ve tentatively titled (in my head) 2000: A Space Odyssey.
